Since the release of their debut album The Best of Barbara
Brockhaus with Music for the Lazy and not the Bureaucrazy
in 2003 Angie Reed has passed numerous
performances of her
secretary live show all over europe
and exhibitions of her
drawings and animations in Germany,
Barcelona and Rotter-dam.
She lent her voice to the dubbing
of film, radio, audioplays;
she played roles in some films and
theatre pieces; she worked
as a singer for Console, Felix
Kubin, Puppetmastaz and many
others ... Her new album XYZ Frequency engages
a mix of various music genres
(from electrobeat over punk to motown) and turned
out
again as a concept album: Thru worlds in-between life,
death and parallel universes Angie slips thru dimensions
into
numerous characters. If you thought previous word works
worked the wit for her cult figure Barbara Brockhaus,
this
concoction of vocable charm and instrumentation is likely
to
ignite the toe tapping, knee slapping, wing flapping,
night
capping, orb zapping, ur-dapping and art crapping with
some hand clapping - ever so more! Although the music is
a cross of orient and occident - it’s flooding with
POP!
